Any students whose accounts are not closed by this date will not be eligible to get their individual prizes nor will they be eligible for the grand prize drawing. Monies are being turned in every day. If your child still has money out on his/her Kleinhenn Company account, please help us by seeing that it is all turned in as soon as possible. Thank you.
School Picture Retake Day
Retake day for school pictures is Tuesday, November 10th. If your child was absent when pictures were taken in September and you wish to have them taken now, we will do it on this day. Payment envelopes will be available in the office. You can come in and pick one up or, if you request, we will send one home with your child.
If your child’s picture was taken but you are not happy with the results, we will also do retakes on that day. To get a retake, send your original package back to school with your child. Please indicate on the package what you did not like about the picture. Your child’s picture will be retaken at no charge to you.

A letter about conferences was sent home with your child on October 13th. Conference requests were due back at school on October 23rd. We hope that you have made time in your busy schedule to conference with your child(ren)’s teacher(s). This is an important time to ask questions, share concerns, and find out what kind of start your child has gotten off to this school year. The staff looks forward to these times too. If you have not scheduled a conference, there is still time to do so! Contact your child’s teacher for a conference time. For those of you who sent in a conference request, a confirmation letter will be sent home with your child on Friday, November 6th.

Volunteering at
Volunteers
are important to our school. If you
have time and would like to volunteer some of it with us, contact your child’s
teacher. When our students see
adults other than their teachers in school helping them, it sends a very
powerful positive statement about the importance of a good education.
I personally feel that the more positive adult role models that we can
put in a child’s life as they grow up, the better a person they will be as an
adult. There are many ways that you
can volunteer at
· Listen to children read or read to them
· Help children with flashcards
· Help children learn their spelling words
· Chaperone field trips
· Help with class parties
· Help out with our Scholastic Book Fair
· Count soup labels or Chief’s receipts
· Help out with our Christmas Program
· Help students correct their papers
· Help during center time in our kindergarten classrooms
· Work one-on-one with students to help them finish their work
· Help teachers organize classroom activities for their students
This list is by no means all inclusive. If you are interested, and want to volunteer some of your time at school, contact your child’s teacher or the office.
