Print files which can set the settings needed to print from SIS

Printing to a queued or spooled printer from SIS.

When printing to a queued or spooled printer from SIS, the settings on the printer have to be set manually or you can give the command below. The file will send the proper escape codes to the printer and will set the necessary settings.

For example,

To print labels from SIS the settings need to be:

8 lines per page

8 lines per inch

10 characters per inch

These can be set by hand on the printer or you can give this command at the MENU> prompt.

MENU> PRINT SIS$EXE:FORM10.LEN

After you press return nothing really happens other than the printer head may move back and forth. At this point, you can go into SIS and print off the labels.
