Established in 1992, the teacher in residence program is a vital component of the SESA program. Each year, an area teacher takes a year's leave of absence from their school district to come to Valero, Ineos, Fort Amanda Specialties, ISP and PCS Nitrogen to coordinate the SESA program. The companies reimburse the district for the cost of a substitute teacher for the year and, in return, benefit from the educational expertise of the teacher when he/she returns. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
