If you have artistic ability, scan an original drawing, take a digital picture of your artwork or produce a graphic in a paint or draw program. You can be the creator / designer / illustrator of the "art work". These projects may require using multiple program applications. The T-shirt layout must be "flipped" horizontally in PageMaker in order to print properly on the T-shirt transfer paper. Yes, you can make a design that can be ironed on a T-shirt. Print out a hard copy for the instructor to grade. Save the document in a Digital Imagery folder #7. This design can also be prepared for T-shirt transfer paper. One "digital imagery" project is required if multiple programs are used in a complex design. Three "digital imagery" projects are required if only PhotoShop Elements is used to produce the Photo Art Work .

8. Design two CD Disk covers or Jewel Case Covers [Mac or PC] (1/2 credit) / (1 credit) depending on degree of expertise.
Design 2 CD/Jewel Case covers for printing using CD label paper or brochure paper for the Jewel Cases. You can use "CD label paper" for your final project creations if you use the proper templates for CDs. You can design CD Labels/Jewel Case Covers using Appleworks, Microsoft Office, or PageMaker. Use sites such as Amazon.com to find your favorite artist's list of songs. If you burn your favorite combination of songs on CD, you can create your own text (CD title and song titles) plus backgrounds and graphics. Place these digital camera photos in PageMaker (a desktop publishing program) after enhancing the photographs with Photoshop Elements. Remember to use "PageMaker" to create the documents for printing and use photo quality paper. Use the eMac, iMacs or HPs for this project and the Epson, Canon or HP printers. Do not stretch your jpegs in PageMaker, however you can shrink the photo by using the shift key with the mouse. Click and drag the corner handle (black square) of the graphic to the preferred shrink size. Another alternative ....these prints can also be created in Photoshop Elements for printing by creating a new document, insert the enhanced photos then select the sizes required by selecting Print Layouts in the File Menu. 11. Family Album / Autobiography/ Classmates Album- [Mac or PC] (1.5 credits)
Create a Family Album, Autobiography or a Senior Classmate Album by using a Web Editing program (FrontPage), Multimedia (PowerPoint) or Video Editing program such as iMovie. I will accept other themes for this project. Use your research knowledge, technical skills and creative talents on this project. You can scan photos of your favorite pictures. This digital album project can be something worth continuing for your family or friends. Concentrate on "Illustration" and "Design" as a means of capturing an audience for this project creation.

If you decide to use Front Page or another web page editor application, you are basically making a mini web site. Think about a theme and what you want your audience to capture, learn, or view. It is best to make a template of your page layout concerning tables, background, links, pictures, text etc. The instructor will help you create a custom page layout for your web site. Design your pages first, and then make a flow chart considering how the pages will be linked together. Sketch your pages on paper and determine the navigation links through your web site. Be uniform and consistent with your page layout. Express your creative talent using graphics, scans, digital photos, clip art and animations with good writing skills. Build an aesthetically designed "Home Page" with links.

The other alternatives to making an Album is using Power Point, Appleworks slide show, or iMovie instead of a web editing program. Express your creative talent using graphics, scans, digital photos, clip art, links, sound, transitions and animations with good writing skills. You can design slides, web pages, or a movie with still pictures for your presentation and be sure to create a Title Introduction Page.

Save this web site directory folder (Front Page) or presentation document (Appleworks; PowerPoint) in #11 folder. Also, save your jpegs, giffs, tiffs, bmps, picts in #11 folder. iMovie will have to be saved on the Lacie Hard Drives or the Snap-Mac server to be graded.
