Objective: The students will perform navigation and research skills to find information on

the internet and further develop their knowledge about internal combustion engines.

Materials: Example of the finished product, Instruction sheet

Facility: The computer lab will be reserved.

Procedures: Verbal instruction to get the tech students started with directions, demonstations and explanations.

Intro: Hand out: go over instructions/directions and assign engine related topics.

Re-enforcement: Have students locate topic information at howstuffworks.com

Culminate: Create PowerPoint Presentation

The PowerPoint should contain:

1 slide with:

• web page addresses
• web page names

1 title page slide containing:

• student's name
• presentation title

4-6 slides containing:

• information about topic
• related pictures
• links to web pages optional

Evaluation:

• Students will drag thier document (finished product) to the shared folder for the instructor to grade.
• Several class periods will be used to allow enough time for students to work on the project.

Students should be aware of the following guidelines:

• Does presentation include the required slides?
• Is the information detailed, organized, and using good communication skills?
• Is this a quality project or just thrown together?
• Take pride in this project presentation and do a good job?
