Click on the "Favorite Search Engines" link …get familiar with these search engines by trying different engines to find a variety of "Small Gas Engine" companies.

Use Key Words to find at least 10 companies. (e.g. Honda, Briggs & Stratton)

These companies products can be chain saws, lawnmowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers, etc.

The following sites will navigate you to a web page that offers a variety of manufacturer's links.

• North American Distributors
• SGE Manufacturers
• SGE -Brand Name- Sites*

Save a picture of each company’s Home Page by right clicking on the graphic….then save to disk….then navigate to your account. Create a folder called [your last name_ SGE]. Save the manufacturer's homepage graphic to this folder. Navigate each site thoroughly and write a critique of each company in Microsoft Word (save the word document in your SGE folder).

I will eventually show you how to create a PowerPoint Gallery Presentation of your choices of companies. This presentation will include a picture with text critiquing each company’s site with a description of the worst and best features.

When you critique each site consider the following examples to describe in your Word document for each company:

• Use of quality graphics and or animations
• Ease of use to find information
• Navigation features
• Special features
• Troubleshooting, Manual info, Parts, New Products, Quality Info

This information will eventually be pasted into your PowerPoint Presentation.

*Also remember to copy and paste the URL (web address of each company).

We will eventually create a button in your PowerPoint Presentation that will link to each of your site selections.
