The Blue Holes of Andros Island
"Church's Blue Hole"

Church's Blue Hole is fresh water on top but after it reaches a certain depth it becomes salt water. The fresh water blue holes are a main source of water for the people on Andros.

"Charlie's Blue Hole"

Charlie's Blue Hole is another fresh water pocket that lies about ten minuets north of the airport. And a quarter mile off of the main road. It is 70 feet deep, but it has caves that branch off and are deeper.

"Rat Cay"

Rat Cay is an oceanic blue hole. It is a place in the ocean where the water depth suddenly drops off. It is all salt water, but the temperature of the water changes depending on the tide. They can either suck water in or push water out.

"Blue Hole Cay"

Blue Hole Cay is the second oceanic blue hole. There are also a lot of fish that are housed by the blue hole. And we even got to see a lobster. Some holes are strong enough to pull in a small boat when the tide comes in.
