"BAHAMAS 2000"
Mastic Point
Mastic Point was the first site that we snorkeled. There is a shipwreck a couple of yards off shore and beyond that there is a patch reef. On our way out to the ship wreck we enjoyed looking at the cusin stars and soft coral.
Coconut Grove
Coconut Grove was another patch reef that we explored. It was also a few yards off of the beach. It had an array of fish swimming around the coral reefs. We also found a couple of sea biscuits out by the patch reef.
The Tongue of the Ocean
The Tongue of the Ocean is a popular site to snorkel. The water is still very clear but it gets a lot deeper. And the coral becomes larger. This is also a good place to see reef sharks and some larger fish.
Nicholl's Town Beach
Nicholl's Town Beach is where we ate lunch the one day. It had a shelter house and a beautiful beach to walk along and explore. We didn't snorkel at this site but they say it has an excellent reef to explore.
Saddleback
Saddleback is another site where we ate lunch. There is a sand bar off of the beach that you can explore. Some of the people in our group walked it and found a few sand dollars.
