This is the Delphos FFA Barn.
In this barn, the sophomore class farrows a sow and tends the piglets. They also do a chicken nutrition experiment in the summer. Members are also allowed to keep projects in this barn if needed.

Inside the barn. . .
From this view of the barn, you can see the farrowing crate and the nursing deck. This is where the sophomores keep the sow and piglets for this experiment.

Another look inside. . .
Here is the view of the barn facing the chicken pens. During the sophomores chicken nutrition experiment, 50 chickens are kept in these pens. During the summer, these pens are full of chickens waiting to be sold or taken to the fair.

This is the Delphos FFA Greenhouse.
In the greenhouse, the freshmen do a seed germination experiment at the beginning of the fall trying to determine the efficiency of a seeds germination. They also grow tomato plants that are sold at Gessner's in the spring. Any member can grow plants in this greenhouse.

Inside the greenhouse. . .
The greenhouse is always in use. Right now it is used for storage of plants to keep away from the cold frosty temperatures of winter in Ohio. The greenhouse is fully equipped with an automatic watering system, fan, and heater.

The Monument.
The barn and the greenhouse would not be in existence if it weren't for the great support the Delphos FFA receives from the Delphos Community. More than 40 local businesses pitched in to help fund these buildings. If it weren't for these generous businesses and the community of Delphos as a whole, the students enrolled in the FFA would not have the project possibilities that they now do.
