At the first Northwest Conference meet the Wildcats got off to a 6-0 start.  At Perry High School, Delphos Jefferson defeated the following teams:

At the second and final N.W.C. meet held at Upper Scioto Valley High School the Wildcats finished 3-1 to make their record 9-1 overall.  This was good enough to earn them their 4th consecutive Runner-up finish in the conference.  The scores were as follows:

At the first Black Swamp meet the Wildcats got off to a 5-0 start including a win over their arch rivals, the Bluffton Pirates.  The results were as follows:

At the second Black Swamp meet the Wildcats also went undefeated with a 4-0 record at Perry High School.  That means that as of December 4, Delphos Jefferson was in first place in the Black Swamp with a 9-0 record.  The last meet's results were as follows:

At the 3rd Black Swamp meet in Spencerville the Cats continued their domination of the league by once again going 5-0.  This raised their record to 14-0.  The results were as follows:

At the final Black Swamp meet the Wildcats finished off a great season at Wapakoneta by winning the league championship with Bluffton finishing second.  The Cats finished the season with a 17-1 record in the league.  The results went as follows:

At the annual Tri-meet against Delphos St. John's and Ft. Jennings at Ft. Jennings the Jefferson Varsity squad once again dominated action.  The scoring went as follows:

At the Lancer Bowl held on February 24 at Lincolnview, both the Varsity and J.V. squads failed to make it to the final round of 4.  The Varsity team fell just shy by placing 5th with a score of 66, just behind the 68 that was needed to proceed.  The other scores are unavailable at this time.


On March 19 the Wildcats competed in the Wright State University -Lake Campus Senior Scholastic Bowl tournament.  The Cats went 4-1in Mondays action qualifying for Tuesday's Final Four Tournament in Loser's Bracket Group C.  The Cats did as follows in this double elimination event:

In the Tournament on Tuesday, March 20, the Cats ended up finishing second behind Fairview and in front of Defiance and Bowling Green.  This means that they finished with a record of 2-2 in this double elimination tourney and with a 6-3 overall tourney record.  In all 32 teams competed in the 2 day event.  The results of the Final 4 were as follows:

At Wayne Trace High School on April 28, 2001, the Cats played in their last tournament of the year at Regionals.  20 of Northwest Ohio's best teams competed for two spots at the State tournament in Gahana.  Unfortunately the Cats finished 3rd, just short of the qualifying position.  The results of the tournament were as follows:

Bluffton and Bowling Green were the two state qualifiers.  We would like to wish them luck against the best the Ohio has to offer!

Watch the broadcasts on Tuesdays and Saturdays to find out.  I am not dumb enough to give you scores.  If I did that you wouldn't watch and TV44 would be very mad!  I will give you a hint, though.  We do not repeat as this years champions, but we get pretty darn close.  How close?  Watch and find out.
