Social Studies I - Course 134. The students will cover the basic facts of major themes of the 19th and 20th centuries and master the following social science skills:  interpreting data, evaluating credibility of sources, analyzing bias, and checking the accuracy of facts.  The class follows the academic content standards set forth by the state.  The themes and skills covered in American History I will be revisited in more detail and specificity in American History II.  This is a blocked Academic Class.

Social Studies II - Course 234. The students will expand their grasp if information covered in American History I.  Students will use illustrations, graphs, lectures, presentations, visuals, projects, group work, and historical scenarios to heighten their knowledge of the major themes and skills.  The class is geared to prepare the students for the Ohio Graduation Test.  This is a blocked Academic Class.

Social Studies III - Course 434.  Choice is a focus for social studies instruction at this level.  How political, social, and economic choices are made; who makes them; and the effects of those choices. This is a mandatory course for seniors as it gives an overview of government and a foundation in economics. This class is offered as both a blocked and split-block Academic Class to accommodate senior schedules

World History - Course 431.A general history course covering the world.  It is a course in anthropology and it studies ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, and the Middle Ages.  It includes the Renaissance, the Reformation, and World Wars.  It shows how each of them occurred and affected today’s world. A unit on the history of world religion will be presented. This is a split-block Academic Class.
