High School Band (1/2 unit credit marching, 1/2 unit credit concert) Course 185. High School Band activities are divided into two parts, marching and concert. The marching band performs at football games, parades, fairs, contests, and festivals. The concert band presents concerts several times each year and participates in contests, both large group and solo or ensemble. High School band is open to any student in grades nine through twelve. (Non-academic) Audition is required. This is a split-block class during the third block. Fee: $10.00

(1 unit credit) Course 283. Meets five times per week. Open to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, chosen by audition with the instructor. It offers participation in school programs and is competitive.(Non-academic) This is a split-block class during the third block.

Piano/Keyboarding Lab (1/2 unit credit) Course 385. This course offers hands-on training for beginners in piano playing. Open to all grade levels. This is a split-block class for the whole year. (Non-academic)

Color Guard (1 unit credit) Course 184. A performance ensemble in conjunction with marching band for any student interested and capable of participating and performing within the program. Students will be selected by audition involving flag handling and marching fundamentals. Color guard will perform with all of the marching band activities as well as basketball games and winter color guard contest. During the concert season students who have not been in the instrumental program will serve in some role in the concert band. This is a split-block class for the entire year.
