We are preparing to close out another school year and send off the 2008 graduating class on to the next phase of their educational career.  We are also beginning to schedule classes for the underclassmen soon.  Please talk to your children and encourage them to challenge themselves with a strong curriculum as we will do the same.  I also ask that you encourage your student(s) to get involved (Band, Choir, FFA, FCCLA, Sports, Musical, Quiz Bowl, etc.) this next school year.  The more students involved with their school, the more proud they are of their school!  Below you will find a list of important dates to finish this school year and also registration/picture dates for next year.  I realize that the stress levels are always higher at the end of the year and adversity always comes alive but hang in there and keep encouraging all those around you to do their best.

Dates of Interest:

May 3^rd – Prom @ Jefferson High School – 8 p.m.

                (Parents are asked to be out of the gym by 7:45 p.m.)

May 5^th – 9^th – Teacher Appreciation Week

May 6^th, 7^th, & 8^th – AP testing

May 7^th – HS Band Concert – 7:30 p.m.

May 12^th – Free Physicals offered at DeWitt’s

May 13^th – NHS Academic Night – 7 p.m. (Invites of winners will be coming)

May 14^th – HS Choir Concert – 7:30 p.m.

May 22^nd – Senior Exams (Open Campus for Seniors)

May 23^rd – Senior Scholarship Day/Pictures/Rehearsal – 8:30 a.m.

May 30^th – Commencement

June 4^th – Last day for underclassmen (Unless another cancellation occurs)
