DELPHOS — Jefferson out up 10 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and four more in the sixth to rally past visiting Kenton 14-9 in non-conference baseball action Monday night at Wildcat Field.
The Jeffcats (13-4) pounded out 16 hits, with Josh Miller going 4-for-4 (3 RBIs, a walk, 1 run) leading the way. He was joined by fellow seniors Taylor Hesseling (3-for-3, 1 run, RBI), Sean Fisher (2-for-3, 2 runs, 5 RBIs, 2 walks, a home run) and Matt Gerdeman (2-for-4, 2 runs).
Fisher (2-0; 5 innings, 3 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned, two hit batters, 3 strikeouts) got the win versus the Kenton Wildcats (2-15). Classmate Aaron Schuerman got the save.
Zachariah (4 1/3 innings, 9 hits, 7 earned runs, 3 bases-on-balls) took the loss. Mark Faqkler (3-for-4, 2 RBIs, 1 run) led the visitors.
