Minster shackles Jefferson in softball

MINSTER — Jefferson’s youthful fast-pitch girls softball team dropped its opening game of the season 4-0 at Minster Monday night.

Senior Shauna Bowers took the loss in her first tune-up game.

Jenny Prenger had two doubles and knocked in two runs for the Wildcats of Minster. Megan Stueve scattered four hits to hold the Wildcats of Jefferson scoreless.

The Lady Jeffcats host Miller City 5 p.m. Wednesday.
