Absence

    If a student is going to be absent, please contact the school (695-3185) before 8:00 a.m. Or send a note to the office with a brother or sister signed by parent. Please also send a note with your child when they return to school stating the reason for being absent.

    If you request, we shall have the child's homework ready for pick-up the same day after school.

Out of Town Trips - Vacations

1. Approval must be given by the office for extended leave from school.

2. School work will be sent with the child and must be completed upon the child's return to school. All uncompleted work will be listed in the grade book as an "F".

3. Attendance and good education go together, one cannot be achieved without the other.

Communicable Disease

    School policy regarding communicable disease are as follows:

1. Mumps - 10 days out of school, including weekends.

2. Measles - 7 days out of school, including weekends.

3. Chickenpox - 7 days out of school, including weekends.

4. Readmission to school anytime with a signed doctors permission slip.

If you do not contact the office when your child is absent or tardy we are required to attempt to call you at home or work. If we are unable to make contact with you we must count your child UNEXCUSED.
