As part of the Family, Career, Community Leaders of America’s focus on family and community service, the Jefferson Middle School chapter sponsored a Dime War To Fight Cancer to raise money for McKenna Siefker. Students in grades 6-8 and teachers all competed by placing dimes in their containers for positive points and all other coins and currency in the competitors’ containers to subtract points from them. The total amount raised for McKenna’s expenses was $820.
