2009 Commodore Baseball Coaching Staff

Head Coach:  Jon Shively (2nd Year, 6 Yrs as Varsity Assistant Coach)

Jon is in his second year as the head coach of the baseball program.  He has been in the system for 15 years as a junior high, junior varsity, and varsity assistant coach.  He is a 1988 graduate of Perry High School and a 1994 graduate of The Ohio State University.  Jon is also the Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach and the school's Athletic Director.

Varsity Assistant Coach:  Dale Adams (2nd Year as Varsity Assistant, 6 Yrs as Junior Varsity Coach)

Dale is in his second year as the varsity assistant coach.  He has previously been a coach in the junior high program.  Dale is a graduate of Bath High School and a graduate of The Ohio State University.  Dale is a second grade teacher at Perry.  Dale is very instrumental in the upkeep of the field during the season.  Dale is also a coach in the football program and boys basketball.  Dale is a great addition to our staff.

Head Coach:  Mark Hoersten (1st Year as the Junior Varsity Coach, 4 years as the Junior High Coach)

Mark is in his first year as the JV coach.  Mark is a 1975 graduate of Perry High School and a graduate of The Ohio State University.  Mark is an math teacher in the middle school at Perry.  Mark is also the Varsity Assistant Girls Basketball Coach and he is an associate athletic director.

Volunteer Assistant Coach:  Eric Smith (1st year as an assistant coach)

Eric is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Commodores.  He is a 2005 graduate of Perry High School.  Eric was a 4 year letterman in the baseball program and he also played golf.  Eric is a coach in the youth football program at Perry.  He is a very valued assistant coach in the baseball program.  Welcome Eric!!
