Elementary Staff

Rachel Abel

Mrs. Abel has been teaching at Spencerville since 2002. She always loved school so becoming a teacher seemed like the natural thing to do. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1996 and from Wright State University in 2001 with an elementary education degree. She then obtained her master's degree in early childhood education from Walden University in 2013. Her family consists of her husband John, her daughters, Emilee and Averee, and her pooch, Thor. Mrs. Abel loves to travel with her family and go to craft shows. If she wasn't a teacher she would be a stay-at-home mom or work in the cosmetology field.

Diane Binkley

Mrs. Binkley has been teaching at Spencerville since 1989. Her love of school as a child inspired her to become a teacher. Mrs. Binkley graduated from Spencerville High School and the Ohio State University. Her family includes her husband Bruce, and her sons Bob (Mallory), Michael (Kara), and Daniel (Brooke). They also have a dog named Sanka. In her free time, Mrs. Binkley likes to go to football, basketball, and baseball games and attend track meets. She enjoys watching Ohio State football, too. Mrs. Binkley loves to swim, walk, shop and travel. If she wasn’t a teacher, Mrs. Binkley said she wouldn’t know what else to do! She says, “Teaching is the best job for me!”

Michele Brown

 

Mrs. Brown started teaching at Spencerville in 1999.  She received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Wright State University and a master’s degree form Marygrove College.  Her third grade teacher, Mrs. Lawrence, inspired her to teach.  Her husband's name is Neil.  They have 4 children, Peyton, Makenzie, Parker, and Karleigh.  They also have a Chihuahua named Paco.  In her free time, she loves to scrap book.  She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking trips, and shopping.  

Devonne Dickrede

Mrs. Dickrede has been teaching here since 1996. Before coming to Spencerville, she taught at Gomer Elementary as the LD tutor for 6 years. She graduated from Elida High School. She attended OSU Lima and graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She received her Special Education degree from the University of Dayton. She received her master's degree from Marygrove College. She really enjoys being around kids, which inspired her to enter into the field of education. Her husband is Jerry and they have three children - Danielle, Ben, and Matt. They attend Delphos St. John's.  In her free time she likes to read almost anything. She loves a good mystery! She also loves to shop and be with her kids. She said there is nothing else she would rather be than a teacher.
Shane Falke

His main inspiration in becoming a teacher was his third grade teacher. He previously taught at Vantage Career Center. He graduated from Elida and was an undergrad at Findlay where he majored in Health and Physical Education. He did his  graduate work at Miami University as an Intervention Specialist. He is married to Michelle Falke and has two children, Luke and Lydia. He enjoys sports and outdoor activities, like camping, hunting, and fishing. If he were to choose an alternate career, he would be an electrician. Go Bearcats!

Mary Fell

Mary has worked as the nurse for Spencerville School's since 2001.  She was an assistant professor of nursing at Lima Technical College for six years, and worked in various hospitals as a staff nurse and nurse manager in critical care and med-surgical. Mary was inspired to become a nurse while working in a nursing home during junior high and high school. She enjoyed taking care of patients and wanted to learn more about the health field. Mary graduated from Anna High School and Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton. She received a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from Bluffton College and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing Education from Wright State University. She holds licensure as a registered nurse and a school nurse. Mary's husband's name is Lynn. They have a son, Andrew and a daughter-in-law, Katie, both engineers who live in the state of New Hampshire. They also have a daughter, Rachel who is a nurse and a son-in-law, Adam who is an engineer, living in Troy. Mary enjoys hiking and reading and if she didn't have a career in the health care field, she would enjoy working in national parks leading tours.

Emma Fosnaugh

Mrs. Fosnaugh started teaching at Spencerville in 2001. Before teaching here, she taught at Delphos Jefferson for 7 years. She graduated from Lincolnview High School and Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Her Master of Arts in Education degree came from Bluffton College. She and her husband have 2 miniature Schnauzers, Barney and Maggie. They also have 4 cats, Buster, Timmy, Pepper, and Toby. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, playing with their dogs, traveling, and gardening.
Mike Graham Mr. Grahman has been teaching and Spencerville since 2015. He graduated from Spencerville High School in 1997, graduated with
bachelor's degree from Wright State University in 2002, graduated from University of Concordia Chicago with a master's degree in Educational Leadership in2014.  He was the Director and Education Director of Sylvan Learning Center in Lima, OH from 2003-2006. Owner/Operator of Baskin Robbins/Boston Creamery in Lima, OH from 2006-2009. 3rd and 4th grade teacher at Elida Elementary from 2009-2015.  4th grade teacher at Spencerville from 2015-2017.  Educational Technology teacher
2017-present. He was always felt that workign in education is wherer he was suppoesed to be. He is married to Rachel and have a son Aidan, daughter Olivia. Wife works for Allen County Educational Service Center and both children attend Spencerville. Outside of school his family is very involved with his church.  He also coaches baseball and basketball and loves to play golf. Mr. Graham couldn't see himself being anything else but a teacher.

Carole Hollar

Mrs. Hollar has been teaching at Spencerville since 1993. She graduated from Smoky Hill High School in Colorado. She received her bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and her master's degree from Walden University. Her love for school inspired her to enter into the field of education. She has three children Cameron Baker, Maddy Hollar, and Grace Hollar. In her free time she loves to spend time at home with her family, plant flowers, and read good books. If she wasn't a teacher she would like to be a flight attendant and travel all over the world.   

Jennifer Huber

Mrs. Huber started teaching at Spencerville in 1998. She was inspired to become a teacher by her second grade teacher, Miss Morrison. She read the book "James and the Giant Peach" to her class, and she thought it was the most exciting adventure. She decided at that time that it would be fun to be a teacher. She graduated from Spencerville High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Huntington College , and her master's degree from Walden University. Her husband's name is Kevin. She has a step-daughter named Alyson and a step-son named Erik. She also has a cat named Cougar. In her free time she likes to play golf with her husband, go shopping, and scrapbook. If she wasn't a teacher she would want to be a millionaire and travel the world

Mrs. Koenig has been teaching at Spencerville since 2001.  She graduated from Spencerville and received her master's degree from The Ohio State University.  Her teachers inspired her by how much they cared for their students.  They really went out of their way to help their students achieve their goals.  Her husband is Norman.  They have two children whose names are Melanie and Tyler.  She has two boxers, Zeus and Zena.  In her free time she likes to scrapbook, read,  and spend time with her family.  If she wasn't a teacher she would like to work in a library.    

Ann Kuhn

Mrs. Kuhn was inspired to become a teacher by her love of books and learning new things. She has been teaching at Spencerville since 1994. She graduated high school from North Union and college from Bowling Green State University. Mrs. Kuhn is married to James and together they have daughters Mallory (Bob) and Katlin (Stephen). In her free time, she likes to read books. Mrs. Kuhn couldn't imagine being anything else other than a teacher. When asked this question, her response was, "What else is there?"

Kay Langhals

Mrs. Langhals has been employed at Spencerville since 1995. She also taught 2 years at Elida Middle School as a tutor. She had a first grade teacher, Sister Rosalie, whom she adored. She went back to her room when she was in the upper elementary and would grade papers for her. She would let her take a stack home at night and return them in the morning. Sister Rosalie inspired her to enter into the field of education. She graduated from Ottoville High School and received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from The Ohio State University. Her husband's name is Art and they have three children - Trevor, Nathan, and Heather. Trevor is married to Amy and they have two sons - Trevor and Logan. Her son Nathan is married to Melissa and they have three sons - Ethan, Max, and Owen..  Her daughter Heather is married to Shawn and they have a daughter, Melanie, and a son, Alex. In her free time she and her husband like to walk, ride bikes, go camping, and spend time with their grandchildren. She enjoys cross-stitch and reading and if she wasn't a teacher the only other job she would want is to be a full-time grandmother.

Tressa Mulholland

Mrs. Mulholland used to substitute at several Allen County schools but settled after a year and a half here at Spencerville and has been employed here since 1992.  She graduated from Spencerville and teh Ohio State University.  She received her master's from Marygrove College.  She and her husband Chuck have four daughters- Alyssa (Devon), Kacie, Julie, and Whitney. They have a fish and a bunch of rabbits.  In her free time she watches her kids in their extra- curricular activities.  She loves to watch basketball and she likes to shop and read.  She was inspired by most of her teachers.  She always knew she wanted to teach.  If she wasn't a teacher she would want to be a stay at home mom.  She said a WNBA player would have been nice, too!

Kristina Munoz

Ms. Munoz has been teaching at Spencerville since 2002.  She graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School and earned her bachelor's degree at Wright State University and her master's degree from Walden University.  She has two daughters named Ava and Mia.  She likes to spend time with her family and friends and she also likes to exercise and read books.  Children are what inspired her to teach.  If she didn't teach she would be a stay at home mom.

Jennifer Parent

Mrs. Parent began her career at Spencerville in the 2013-14 school year; previously, she spent six years at Elida and four years teaching at Brookville. Her favorite teacher, Mrs. Bennet, inspired her to become a teacher. Mrs. Parent graduated from Elida High School, obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in music Education at Miami University, and also a Masters of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Wright State University. She and her husband have three children named Colin, Chloe, and Caden. Mrs. Parent and her husband have a steel drum band, and enjoy playing all types of music. She also enjoys learning about law and history, but she couldn't imagine being anything other than a teacher.

Amy Schwartz

Mrs. Schwartz started teaching at Spencerville in 1999. Prior to teaching at Spencerville, she was a first grade teacher at Lima City Schools. She graduated from Spencerville High School. She attended  Ohio State University and Bluffton College where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree with her Pre-K to 8th grade certification. She also attended Bowling Green State University where she received her Master's in Education. Her husband's name is Doug. She has a son Andrew and two daughters, Amanda and Abigail. In her free time she likes to spend time with family and scrapbook. She always wanted to be a teacher and can't see herself doing another job.

Lori Schwartz

Mrs. Schwartz started teaching at Spencerville in 2003 and also taught at Holy Rosary school in St. Mary's. She graduated from Spencerville High School. After high school she attended Ohio Northern University and earned a dual degree in Management/Business Administration and Sociology. She also attended Wright State University-Lake Campus and earned her teaching certification. She then attended Bowling Green State University to earn her Masters degree in teaching. She is married to Ron Schwartz and together they have three children, Ashley, Kyle, and Trenton. If she was not a teacher she would want to be a funeral director to follow in her father's footsteps.

Trenton Smith

Mr. Smith was inspired to be a teacher by his parents, which were both teachers.  He began teaching at Spenerville in 2011.  He has degrees from both Parkway High-School and Write State University.  He is Married to his wife Amy, and has a daughter named Kailyn.  In his free time Mr. Smith likes working on his family farm, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors with his family.  If Mr. Smith was not a teacher he would have persued a career in law enforment.

Jennifer Stephenson

Mrs. Stephenson began teaching at Spencerville in 2008.  She graduated from Mendon-Union High School and then attended Wright State University Lake Campus and obtained her bachelor's in Early Childhood Education PreK - 3.  She has been married for 15 years to her husband Kirk. They have 2 children, Jordan who is 14 and Kayla who is 12.  They have 2 dogs: Bogey, a yellow lab and Pepper, a black miniature schnauzer.  In her free time she enjoys watching her children play sports, being outdoors, baking and spending time with her family.  If she wasn't a  teacher, she would like to be a librarian or veterinarian.

Mrs. Suever started teaching at Spencerville in 1992. She graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School and The Ohio State University. She earned a master’s degree in Literacy from Walden University. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Suever was a bank teller, sales associate, and waitress, but she has always wanted to be a teacher. She is married to Matt who teaches junior high science at Columbus Grove. She has a son, Arron, and a daughter, Tori. Mrs. Suever loves spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. If she wasn't a teacher, she would probably be a travel agent.

Nancy Sullivan

Mrs. Sullivan started teaching at Spencerville in 2000. Prior to coming to Spencerville, she taught at Bath for three years. She graduated from Shawnee High School and The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a masters degree. Helping her little brother learn inspired her to enter into the field of education. Her husband's name is Denton. They have three married children and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Sullivan has two dogs and one cat. She loves to spend her free time with her family and pets. She also likes to read and lead horses for the equestrian therapy program. If she wasn't a teacher she would be a riding instructor.

Anna Thompson

Mrs. Thompson started teaching at Spencerville in 2013. She also taught for one year at Heir Force Academy in Lima. She graduated from Spencerville High School in 2007 and from OSU in 2012. Anna loved going to school when she was in elementary school and Miss Comer, Mrs. Dickrede, and Mrs. Mulholland were definitely inspirations in her decision to pursue teaching. Her husband's name is Michael and her daughter is Julia. She also has a beagle dog that goes by the name of Scuba. Mrs. Thompson goes on walks, runs, and work outs in her spare time. If she wasn't a teacher she would have loved to do something in the health and fitness field.

Susan Wagner

Mrs. Wagner graduated From LCC High School, got her bachelors degree from OSU, a Masters in Education from Toledo and a Masters in Administration from Concordia University. She wanted to be a Math teacher to show how helpful a teacher can be unlike hers were in 5th grade. She taught 6th grade Math/SS at St.Charles for 6 years, PE for 2 years at Edison Elementary, 6th grade at Lima West Middle School for 10 years, and 1 year as a School Improvement Coach at Liberty Arts Magnet. Mrs. Wagner is married to Tim and they have three children - twin boys and a daughter. In her free time she likes to cook, run, and also bikeride. Her favorite time is when her whole family is together. If she had the chance at another career it would be as a chef in her own restaurant.

Priscilla Willrath
Mrs. Willrath was inspired to teach by two major people in her life. First was her band director who encouraged her love of music and the arts and made her want to be a music teacher. The second was her sister who was diagnosed with Willams Syndrome at a young age. Watching her struggle throughout school with her education made her want to help other students like her sister who struggled also. She started teaching at Spencerville in 2015. She was employed in 2014 by Jay County School in Indiana as a resource room teacher for kindergarten-5th grade. In years before, she was a substitute teacher for Mercer County. She graduated from Jackson-Milton High School and went to Youngstown State University for her undergrad and received he Bachelors in music education. She received her Masters as an Intervention Specialist from Wright State University. She lives in Celina with her husband, Brock, and their three dogs, Cash, Nixie, and Pippi. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her husband and their friends and do anything outside, including hunting and riding her Side x Side. If she wasn't a teacher she would be a veterinarian or a wildlife officer.

Brooke Zerbe

Mrs. Zerbe started teaching at Spencerville in 2002. She graduated from Elida High School and from The Ohio State University with her bachelor's and master's degrees. When she was young she loved playing "teacher". That feeling never went away which inspired her to become a teacher. She is currently the elementary guidance counselor. Her husband's name is John and they have a daughter, Claire, and a son, Zack. They also have a cat named Annabelle. In her free time Mrs. Zerbe enjoys working on scrapbooks, shopping, and taking naps. If Mrs. Zerbe wasn't a counselor she would love to be a professional organizer!
