Mr. Nelson Ambroza |
Mr. Ambroza has taught at Spencerville since 1969. He graduated from Lima Senior High School. Nelson got his bachelor's at Ohio State and his master's at BGSU. His high school history teacher inspired him to go into education. His wife is Anita, and his kids are Sally Jo and Eric. He also has a dog named Suzy. He enjoys bowling, golfing, gardening, watching the Browns and Indians, and spending time with his two grandkids. If Nelson wasn't a teacher, then he would want to win the lottery. |

Mrs. Joy Baumgartner |
Mrs. Baumgartner has been teaching at Spencerville since 1998. Joy graduated from Columbus Grove and went on to receive a BA from Bluffton College. She was inspired to become a teacher by her yearbook advisor. She has a husband, Jim Baumgartner, and two daughters. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and read. If she wasn't a teacher, she would be a stay-at-home mom. |

Mrs. Dorthea Bindel |
Mrs. Bindel has been working for Spencerville Schools since may 2002 and previously worked for The Phoenix Police Department. A Graduate from Spencerville High School, she attended college at Rio Solado Community College in Arizona. Seeing her daughter at school, being busy, and seeing the students grow up is what she likes about her job. Her daughter's name is Kayla and she has a dog and a cat. She enjoys working outside, reading, volunteering, biking and spending time with Kayla. If she was not working at the school she would return to Arizona where the sun shines 99% of the year. |

Mr. Shawn Brown |
Mr. Brown has been the principal at Spencerville High School since 1999. He started his first seven years at Lima City Schools. He was employed at both Lima North MS and Lima Senior High. He graduated from Shawnee HS and received his elementary education degree at OSU and his masters at University of Dayton. He has been married to Kandace for over 20 years. He has 3 children whose names are Lyndie, Alexa, and Dominic. In his free time he likes to run, read, golf, and vacation with his family. If Shawn wasn't a teacher then he would want to be a small business owner. |

Mrs. Jeana Byer |
Mrs. Byer has been teaching at Spencerville since 2004. She graduated from Wright State Univ. with her Bachelor's in Spanish. Her college Spanish teacher inspired her to go into teaching. Her husband is Jake, and her two daughters are Isabel and Mia. She likes walking, shopping, and reading in her free time. Jeana would want to be an interpreter if she wasn't a teacher. |

Mrs. Mollie Callahan |
Mrs. Callahan has been teaching here Since 1999. She graduated from Elida High School and from The University of Toledo. Her love for books and English class in school inspired her to become a teacher. Her husband is Michael. She also has two sons named Cohen and Declan. In her free time she likes to read, cook, spend time with her family, and remodel her house. If Mollie wasn't a teacher then she would want to be an Interior Decorator. |

Mr. Dan Dardio |
Mr. Dardio substitute taught for three years before teaching at Spencerville where he has been teaching since 1992. He graduated from Wapakoneta High School. Then he went to Ohio State for his bachelors in natural resources, and finally got his bachelors degree in education at BGSU. Dan was inspired by many teachers when he was young. This made him want to inspire others by becoming a teacher himself. His wife is Karri, and they have four children. They are Caroline, Karlton, Leigh, and Christopher. They also have many pets including a pony, a donkey, two dogs, and many cats. In his free time he likes to read, run, vacation, and work on farm projects. If he wasn't a teacher then he would want to be a writer. |

Mrs. Michelle Falke |
Mrs. Falke started at Spencerville in January of 2008. She previously taught at Shawnee for 8 years. She graduated from Elida High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from BGSU and her master's degree in School Counseling from the University of Dayton. Her first grade teacher inspired her to go into teaching. Shane is her husband, and they have two children named Luke and Lydia. They also have two dogs named Izzy and Ty. She enjoys camping and boating, along with watching football and NASCAR with her husband. If she wasn't in education, then she would want to own a children's bookstore. |

Mrs. Janis Griffin |
Mrs. Griffin began teaching high school and middle school choir at Spencerville in 1992. She also teaches general music. Her extra curricular duties are the All School Musical, Varsity Singers, Talent Shows, Operettas, and the Solo and Ensemble Contest. She is married to Rev. Rob Griffin. Her sun Jonathan is a graduate of Spencerville and is currently a freshman at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her daughter Elizabeth is currently attending Grand Lake Christian School in St. Marys. According to Mrs. Griffin if she had spare time she would like to read lots of books! |

Mr. Greg Hover |
Mr. Hover has been teaching at Spencerville since 1983. He also taught 2 years at Columbus Grove, 2 years at Shawnee, and 1 year at Springfield Christian School. As a graduate of Bath High School, he went on to attain a Bachelor's in Science Education from OSU and a Master's in Education from Bluffton College. Greg was inspired to become a teacher from tutoring his sister through high school. His wife's name is Cheryl. He also has 3 girls, Aundrea, Nandry, and Janelle, and two boys, Jeremi and Ben. His family owns 6 dogs and 1 cat. In his spare time, Mr. Hover enjoys reading and working around his house. If he wasn't a teacher, Greg would like to work in a library or on a CSI unit. |

Mr. Kuhn has been teaching at Spencerville HS since 1980. He graduated high school from Seneca East High School, received his B.S. from BGSU, and received his MS from UD. His wife, Ann, is also a teacher at Spencerville. He has two daughters, Mallory and Katlin. |

Ms. Pat Kula |
Ms. Kula has been teaching art at Spencerville High School since 1983. She has also taught art classes at nursing homes. Ms. Kula graduated from East Canton High School, Kent State University with a Bachelors in Art Ed. and from Wright State University with her Masters . She has also taken classes from Ashland University and the University of Findlay . She was originally inspired to become an Art teacher by her own high school art teacher. Her family consists of her father Al, her mother , and her four sisters Betty, Mary, Linda, and Helen. In her spare time, Ms. Kula enjoys music, reading and other arts. If she wasn't a teacher, she would pursue a career in Interior Decorating. |

Mr. Bruce McConnell |
Mr. McConnell has been teaching since 1984; he taught at Ada for six years and substituted for one year. A graduate from Elida High School, he then attended ONU and received his masters at the University of Dayton. His parents are the people who inspired him to be a teacher. He has four children - Nathan, Rachel, Tyler, and Claire and is married to Jo. He enjoys outside work and gardening. If he was not a teacher he would be a truck driver. |

Mrs. Jo McConnell |
Mrs. McConnell has always enjoyed the areas of Family and Consumer Science, so its very enjoyable to her that she is able to share that with her students. She has taught Home Economics at Troy High School and McComb High School before she moves to Spencerville. She then took several years off when her family was young, this year she has started teaching as the Family and Consumer Science teacher. Mrs. McConnell graduated from Allen East H.S. and The Ohio State University in Home Economics. She is married to Bruce and has four children- Nathan, Rachel, Tyler and Claire. They also has several pets including a dog, 20 cats, 4 chickens, and a horse. In her free time she enjoys being out doors. She also loves to sew and read. If she wasn't a teacher she would love to be a librarian. |

Mrs. Georgia McMichael |
Mrs. McMichael started teaching at Spencerville in 1971 and left in 1981. She returned in the fall of 1999. She graduated from Lima Senior High School and The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree in English education. Her high school biology teacher encouraged her to pursue teaching. Brian is her husband, and they have two boys named Patrick and Joel. Scout is their family dog. In her free time she enjoys walking, quilting, reading, and spending time with her family. If she wasn't a teacher, she would like to be a full-time librarian. |

Mr. Orr started in 2002 as a math teacher. He graduated from Bluffton High School and Bluffton University with a degree in Mathematics and licensure in Education. His mother, who is also a teacher, inspired him to become a teacher. If Rick was not a teacher then he would try his hand as an MMA Trainer. |

Mr. Schmiesing has been teaching at Spencerville since 2004 and previously taught at Upper Valley High School for one year. He graduated from Fort Loramie High School. He spent his college years at Edison State and Wilmington College. He was inspired to become a teacher from a former FFA advisor. Mr. Schmiesing has a wife, Patti, and a son named Bradly. His family also has a dog named Sasha. In his free time he likes to farm, raise cattle, and campaign modified pulling tractors. If Dan wasn't a teacher then he would want to be an agricultural extension agent. |

Mr. Sharp has been teaching at Spencerville since 2008. He taught Computer Science at Chippewa High School for 4 years and he was a technology coordinator for 2 years at Chippewa Schools in Doylestown, OH. Mr. Sharp graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. Computer Science and Math education. M.A. in educational administration from University of Findlay. Mr. Sharp's wife is Tracy, his son is Seth and his daughter is Ally. Mr. Sharp's Special hobbies are watching sports, being a Kentucky Wildcat fan, Fishing, and spending time with family activities. |

Mr. Mike Smith |
Mr. Smith has been teaching at spencerville since 1975. He graduated from Fort Jennings High School and B.G.S.U. with an undergraduate and masters degree. He was inspired to become a teacher by his high school math teacher. His wife's name is Jenifer, his daughters are Jackie and Diana, his sons are Dave and Jeremy, and his turtle's name is Gordon. In his free time he raises hay on a small farm and designs homes. If he wasn't a teacher he would be an architect or a farmer. |

Mr. Josh Van Gorder |
Mr. Van Gorder has been teaching since 2006 at Spencerville. He taught for four years at Paulding before beginning his duties here. He graduated from Northwestern High School and BGSU with a Bachelor's in Music Education. In high school, he was passionate about music and teaching so he decided to put them together. His wife is Alison, and they have two sons named Joel and Carson. Josh likes to spend time with his family, serve in his church music ministry, and play sports and video games occasionally. If he wasn't a teacher then he would want to tour with a professional jazz orchestra. |

Mrs. Angel Wagner |
Mrs. Wagner has been with the Spencerville school system since 2003. She graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School and Lima Technical College and finished her Bachelor's of Business Education at the University of Findlay. She also received her masters degree in school counseling from the University of Dayton. Mrs. Wagner always wanted to be a teacher, so she pursued that career after spending 15 years as a tax auditor. Her husband's name is Keith, Trenton is her son, and she also has two step-daughters named Erin and Alli. Angel loves to read and attend sporting events in her free time. If she wasn't a teacher then she would want to either own her own bookstore or be a book editor. |

Mr. Red Wood |
Mr. Wood has been teaching at Spencerville since 1995. Before beginning his career at Spencerville he taught at St. Joseph's and has taught management courses at Rhodes State College. He graduated from Spencerville High School in 1981, received his BS in Education from OSU in 1985, and his Master's Degree from the University of Scranton in 2006. Our own Mr. Ambroza had a great impact on Mr. Wood becoming a teacher. He has a wife, Cynthia, and three children, Olivia, Red, and Ian, and a family dog named Bailey. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, reading, and watching Cincinnati sports in his free time. If he wasn't a teacher then he would want to be in the space program. |

She graduated from Spencerville herself before going on to receive her Bachelors in Physical Education from ONU and her Masters in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy.
