October 12, 2004 Safety Team Meeting
Minutes
Members present: Lisa Dobbins, Jeff Schimmoeller, Jan Walker, Joann Fenstermaker, Roger Frommer, Steve Gfell, Brian Burkett, Joyce Jackson, Dennis Recker, Ken Horstman, Rob Zuercher
Mr. Recker provided an overview of the purpose of the committee.
Mrs. Dobbins reviewed the past 3 year record of Worker’s Comp. premiums and explained how these rates were calculated, as well as situations that affect those premiums.
Mr. Frommer reviewed various safety report forms currently existing and being used.
Mrs. Jackson introduced the School Safety web page, and explained the Accident Report Form link as well as the Safety Alert Form. Both are available for use on-line, in an effort to distribute information quickly to appropriate persons for action.
Discussion from additional team members present was invited, and concerns from department representatives was voiced. Mrs. Jackson then encouraged all representatives to use the Safety Alert Form on line in the future to present these concerns and any others. They will be addressed by responsible department Supervisors; action taken will then be reported.
Next meeting is tentatively scheduled for December 1, 2004 at 7:00am.
