 Liberty-Benton Middle School Academics

This letter is to inform you of the new incentives program that has been put in place at Liberty-Benton Middle School. Students will have the opportunity to earn an end of the quarter reward for good behavior, academic achievement, and attendance.

Students who have less than four absences/tardies per marking period, no discipline referrals per marking period, fewer than four total missing assignments per marking period and no F’s on their grade card will be eligible for an end of the quarter reward day. These rewards may be a trip to the bowling alley, a movie day, a cook out or other rewards of the like.

In addition, 8th graders who go the entire year with less than eight absences/tardies, no F’s on their grade card, no discipline referrals and fewer than eight total missing assignments will be eligible for a trip to Cedar Point.

This program mimics other incentive based rewards employed by other schools. We hope that we will see even greater success than we already do and that our plan will improve already good behavior and encourage students to succeed. Too often at LBMS, we forget how good our kids are, and we take them for granted. Our goal is to reward as many students as possible, and if we have 100% who meet the criteria, that is all the better.
