K - Kids

2007-2008 is the fourth year for McComb Elementary's K-Kids.  McComb's K-Kids was officially chartered as a service group for students in grades 2-5, sponsored by the Findlay Noon Kiwanis Club on October 29, 2003.   Miss Skiver is the staff volunteer advisor.  The group meets two times each month with leadership from Mrs. Shelly Bishop, member of the Findlay Noon Kiwanis Club. A few of the service projects completed by K-Kids during the 2006-2007 school year include:  collecting money for the March of Dimes to help premature babies; volunteering at the Findlay Noon Kiwanis Annual Pancake Day; and assisting the McComb Flower Committee by planting flowers in the planters of McComb.  K-Kids completed several other service projects in the school and around the community since its charter

The K-Kids' pledge:

"As a K-Kid, I promise to serve my neighborhood and my school; I will show respect toward my environment; and I will try to make the world a better place in which to live."

The K-Kids' motto is "We Build," and its objectives are:

To provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community.

To develop leadership potential.

To foster and development of strong moral character.

To encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation.
