Community/Alumni Choir Begins Practice for Concert
All adults in the community or who graduated from McComb H.S. are invited to be a part of this year's Community/Alumni Choir. Mr. Detamore has again agreed to be our guest conductor and we have some great new songs purchased for the choir to perform as well as some of our "old favorites" like "Carol of the Bells" and "The Hallelujah Chorus." The choir performs on the Christmas Concert which is scheduled for Tuesday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the McComb High School Auditorium. Also performing on that concert will be the McComb Junior High Chorus and the McComb High School Chorus. Rehearsals are as follows:
1. Sun. Nov. 12 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the MHS Chorus
Room
2. Sun. Nov. 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the MHS Chorus Room
3. Tue. Nov. 28 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the MHS Chorus Room
4. Mon. Dec. 4 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium
McComb Chorus Invitational a Big Success
Congratulations to the MHS Chorus on their fine performance at the Invitational Concert on Monday, October 23rd in the McComb H.S. Auditorium. And special thanks to the chorus officers: Laura G., Tarah T., Mark C., Shannon C., Kim R., Jessica C., and Allison R. for all of their help setting up, tearing down, cleaning up, etc., etc. Also performing on the concert were choirs from Liberty-Benton, Arcadia, and VanBuren. It was an evening of beautiful music enjoyed by all!
Chorus Members Sing for Volleyball Tournament Games
Six chorus members sang the Star-Spangled Banner for the volleyball tournament games on Saturday, October 21st and Tuesday, October 24th. The students sang the national anthem in four different ''''vocal part and unaccompanied. The audience was very impressed with their sound!
