Students Recognize Veteran's Day in Music Classes
All of the elementary general music classes will soon be learning patriotic songs in honor of Veteran's Day Saturday, November 11th, 2000. Last year was the first year that we spent time in each class talking about the importance of the holiday in music class. We even identified the veterans who are part of the McComb staff and invited them to the music room for a special performance of the patriotic songs we had learned. Some of the veterans told us that it was the first time that they had been recognized for their service to their country on Veteran's Day. How sad! The students hope to "top" last year's observance.
