Additional Rules and Consequences for 5th Grade

The first time a student comes to class without their recorder and/or book, the student will write "Bring recorder and book" in bold letters on the top of each week's agenda page for the entire year. This work will be completed during that day's music class and the student will show me the work is done at the end of class.

The next time the student comes to class without their recorder and/or book, the student will have to stand at wall for one recess. (A note will be given to their playground supervisor.) The student will use a sterilized school recorder for that day's class period.

If a student repeatedly does not have their recorder for class, the student may be required to purchase an additional recorder to be kept in the music classroom at all times. In such cases the parents will be notified.

In addition, every time the student does not bring their recorder and/or book to music class a note to the parent will be written in their agenda book and they will receive a "U" for that days music class.
