Physical Education is required of all students in the State of Ohio.
Each student must pass 2 semesters of
Physical Education to meet graduation requirementsIn McComb
High School this course is offered in the sophomore year.
The student may take both semesters of physical education in this sophomore
year. To meet the requirements of the course a student must change clothes
for class.The required uniform is a t-shirt,
which meets the dress code and pull on shorts.
No jean shorts or cargo style shorts will be permitted.
Only gym shoes with white soles are allowed on the gym floors.
No jewelry or head gear is permitted. This uniform meets
the participation requirement for the student's grad
Written tests in the activities are also given as part of the grade, as are skills
tests. The lowest grade given for a skills test is 80%.
The physical education course at McComb High School is
geared toward life-time activities
Some examples are: badminton, volleyball, golf, weightlifting and fitness,
bowling, croquet, ping-pong, and pickleball
