CLEANING UP YOUR FILES

To move files from one place to another.  (This would be used if you had inadvertently saved something on your hard drive or in My Documents, rather than on the server.)

Step 1:  Double click on My Computer
Step 2:  Double click on the C drive
Step 3:  Find the files on your hard drive

Example:  You saved your Print Shop files on the hard drive instead of the network.  Double click on Program Files; Double click on Print Shop Ensemble III; Double click on Projects.  Your projects should be listed here.

Step 4:  Click once on the file you want to move

*** Note:  You can chose more than one file by holding down Ctrl and clicking on each of the files that you want to move.

Step 5:  Click on Edit
Step 6:  Choose Cut
Step 7:  Close all dialog boxes
Step 8:  Double click on My Computer
Step 9:  Double click on the H drive {example:  CawleyC$ on ‘Mls_svr’ (H:)}
Step 10:  Click on Edit
Step 11:  Click on Paste

Your files should now copy into your home directory on the server.  That means that you can now access your files from any computer on the network.
