This is how to erase all the information off of a floppy disk so it can be used by another student or for different information.  THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE BY TEACHERS.

Step 1:  Double click on My Computer.  (You should probably double click on the A drive here to make sure there is nothing on the disk that you want saved.  If there isn’t, close the A drive dialog box and proceed.)
Step 2:  Right mouse click on the A drive [3 ½ Floppy (A:)].
Step 3:  Click on Format…
Step 4:  Click on Start.
Step 5:  Click on OK.
Step 6:  Click on OK. (Formatting Complete)

At this point, if you want to format another disk, insert it and start at step 4.

Step 7:  Click on Close.
