SOFTWARE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

ALL software that is put on each of your computers MUST be properly licensed before installation.  This means that if you only have one copy of a piece of software, it can only go on ONE machine.

You are ultimately responsible for all the software on the computers in your classroom.  If you have purchased your own software, be sure to make a list of it and keep track of your own software.  Also, keep track of the school software that you are responsible for.  You do NOT need permission to load software onto your machines as in the past.  Be aware that if we are ever audited by a software company, there could be stiff penalties if you have software on more machines than you have licenses.  You will have to pay for a license AS WELL AS pay a fine.  The fine is usually about twice as much as the software itself.  This would be your PERSONAL responsibility because you have signed the Software Use and Duplication Policy.

Software Use and Duplication Policy forms are kept on file in the Technology Office.  If you have not signed this document and turned it into the Technology Coordinator, please request one and get it signed and turned in.
