| Teacher Guidelines for Computer/Computer Lab Use |
®Reserve the lab at least 1 day in advance
®Let the Lab Aide know what you are planning on doing
®ACCOMPANY your class TO and FROM the lab. Students will be sent back to you classroom if you are not with your students.
®Teach and help guide your class the entire period. This is not a time for you to grade papers, enter grades, check your email, etc. You are to remain in the lab the entire time that your class is in there.
®When sending students to the lab from your class after the bell rings, they must have a pass with their name on it and what they are to be working on while they are in the lab.
Note: The computer lab aides are not certified teachers. They are the computer lab monitors. Their job is to oversee problems that occur with the computers and printers and to see that students are following the computer lab guidelines. They can help during research on the Internet or CD Roms, but they aren’t expected to teach those things to your students.
