| 1. |
Clean
the outsides of the computers, monitors, keyboards and mice with a clean
cloth with rubbing alcohol on it. DO
NOT PUT ALCOHOL DIRECTLY ON THE EQUIPMENT.
(I have rubbing alcohol available in my office is you need to
borrow it.) |
| 2. |
Remove
all mice from the computer and wrap the cords around the mice. |
| 3. |
Remove
all keyboards from the computer and wrap the cords around the keyboards. |
| 4. |
Unplug
all computers, monitors and printers from electrical outlets.
Put all strip protectors on the computer tables so they don’t get
lost. |
| 5. |
Unplug
the network wire from the wall. BE
SURE TO MARK WHERE YOU ARE TAKING IT OUT OF THE WALL SO YOU KNOW WHERE TO
PLUG IT IN NEXT SCHOOL YEAR. |
| 6. |
If
you have more than one computer in your classroom, you need to organize
the network wires so they don’t get all tangled up when the janitors
move the computers out of your room.
The janitors move one table at a time, so no wires can be connected
between two tables. I would
recommend unplugging the network wires from the hub and wrapping them
around the monitor. |
| 7. |
Be
sure to leave all computer equipment with the computers so work can be
done on your computers during the summer. |
| 8. |
COVER ALL COMPUTER EQUIPMENT (computers,
monitors, printers, scanners, etc.) WITH SHEETS. |
