Camp Willson

The YMCA Willson Outdoor Center is located 2 1/2 miles west of Bellefontaine, Ohio. It is owned and operated by the YMCA of Central Ohio and was established in 1918. The Center consists of 420 acres of rolling forest and meadows, as well as a 40 acre glacial, spring fed lake. In addition to its abundance of wildlife, there are 40 horses at the Center. A critter room of reptiles and amphibians, and a "window on wildlife" for bird and animal observation and petting zoo compliment the facilities. Students will be participating in a highly organized learning experience. They will learn about the outdoors by being outdoors. Students will be involved in group cooperative activities, pioneer activities at the 1860's log cabin, Native American Lore, reptiles and amphibians, and many more fun, yet educational activities. Evening programs are naturalist-led activities such as night hikes, campfire, relay racing games and more!!!

**You must bring a sack lunch for the first day!!

6th Graders and Teachers will leave from the Middle School around 9:00 a.m.
on November 5.

You have the option to take your bags to the High School and give them to Mr. Wolford who will then take them to Hoytville. Or you can have a parent drop you off with your bags at the Middle School.

Students will arrive home on November 7th in the afternoon. There will be two drop offs. One will be at the McComb High School building and the other will be at the Middle School building.
