FINANCIAL AID, COLLEGE, AND CAREER LINKS
This is the website where seniors can apply for their P.I.N. (Personal Identification Number). All students who plan to file their FAFSA online need to first get their PIN at this site. You will need 2 PINS total: one student PIN and one parent PIN. After the PIN is established, students and parents are encouraged to keep this number in a safe place…it will be needed every year a student applies for financial aid. Students/Parents should apply for their FAFSA PIN in October or November of their senior year.
This is where students and parents can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. This must be completed to apply for federal student aid for college or career school and for most state and institutional aid. All seniors should submit their FAFSA no later than February 15th.
This is an excellent site for exploring different colleges and careers. Students can narrow down their college search by indicating exactly what they are looking for in a post-secondary institution.
Ohio Career Information System (OCIS) is a comprehensive computer based program designed to help teens and adults explore occupations, research programs of study & training, colleges & universities, sources of financial aid, assess skills & interests, and learn job search skills. This site has descriptions of hundreds of occupations including duties, wages and employment outlook. It has tips for resumes, cover letters, and interviews. There is also information on 2 and 4 year colleges. Take the IDEAS ASSESSMENT to investigate the occupations and related coursework best matching your interests.
