Izzy Willy-Nilly

The book Izzy, Willy-Nilly is about a sophomore that gets in an accident. She was seriously injured, needing a leg amputated. Izzy went through hard times realizing who her true friends were.

I would not recommend this book because it isn’t very exciting.  It can be very uneventful at times. It repeats itself by having the same events. The book also has a lot of heart-to-heart talks that just didn’t seem appealing.

Izzy, Willy-Nilly didn’t hold my attention because Izzy didn’t seem like a real person that we could relate to. She was trying to be nice all the time, and most people wouldn’t act like that.  She felt like she couldn’t share her feelings with others.  She didn’t seem real because most people share their feelings one way or another.

I think it was too emotional for my taste. The book’s main character was a girl, so the book would appeal to girls more than boys.  Izzy, Willy-Nilly seemed like it would be good for older kids to young adults.
