Attention all SMART members: There will be juice, donuts and door prizes for all members next Tuesday. Please meet in Mrs. Heitkamp’s room at 8 am. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Staugler or Mrs. Fortener.
Middle School Idol Contestants: You may pick up your music CDs from Mrs. Fortener.
There will be a pizza party for all MS Idol Participants, Charlie Rohrer and Connor Rammel tomorrow during lunchtime in Mrs. Fortener’s room.
There will be a meeting for all current 8th grade
girls playing volleyball next school year this Friday afterschool by the girls
locker room. Summer schedules will be
handed out at this time.
There will be a Junior High Boys Basketball Open Gym
tomorrow night from 7-8:30 pm in the MS Gym.
There is a sign up sheet in the Middle School Office
for 6th & 7th grade girls interested in basketball
camp.
Junior High Volleyball forms are available in the
office if you did not attend the meeting last week. Please return all camp forms along with money to the Middle
School Office.
If
you would like to purchase a DVD of the HS/MS play, please stop by the office
for a form.
The
Middle School Student Council “Student of the Week” is Katie Fortkamp, a 6th
grader. Congratulations Katie!
Have
you missed 3 days of school or less? If
so, you are able to participate in the Kings Island Incentive trip on Thursday,
May 29th. Please bring $5 to
the Middle School Office and sign up for the trip. You must have your $5 in by next Tuesday in order to go. The money will help pay for the cost of the
trip this year. You will leave from the
High School Commons at 7 am and return around 9:30 pm.
On
Field Day, the Student Council will be sponsoring a book swamp. This way you will be able to have a new
selection of books to read over the summer.
Bring in your book(s) to Mrs. Kaup by next Tuesday. You qill receive a coupon for every book you
bring in. Then, at the book swamp you
can cash in your coupons for books. All
books must be appropriate for middle school students. They also need to be in like-new condition. After all, would you want to trade a
treasured book you own for a beat-up and torn picture book? Spring clean those bookcases at home, bring
in the books you want to swamp, and prepare for some summer reading fun!
The
sign up sheet is in the office for the Gateway to Technology Summer Camp. This is open to any current 6th
or 7th grader. It will be
held July 14th-18th from 8:30 am – 2 pm.
The
5K Walk/Run will be this Friday morning.
We will go to the track at 9:30 am.
Please wear tennis shoes. NO
FLIP FLOPS.
Arts
in the Parks forms have arrived. They
are available in the office. Deadline to
register is May 16th.
If
you have not purchased a yearbook yet, you still have a chance. Cost is $17.00. Please bring your money to the Middle School Office. Checks can be made out to Ft. Recovery Local
Schools. Don’t’ be left out!
This
Saturday at 3 pm in the Auditeria the Junior High and 5th grade
Bands will have a concert. All are
invited.
