The Element Poster

 

  1. Using your element, create a slogan, sentence or phrase that contains the

          atomic number of your element.

  1. Replace the number in your phrase with the name of your element.
  2. Work with your “family” group to come up with ideas.

     4.  After the teacher has approved your phrase, you will be supplied with a

          poster board.  All family members will have the same color of poster board. 

     Decide what color you would like to represent your family.  Please do not

     substitute other posters.

5.  Display this information on your poster: symbol, atomic number, atomic

mass and phrase.

     6.  Utilize the space on your poster board creatively.

7.      Present a short oral report about your elements and family. Include how

     each member came up with his/her phrase.

8.      Limitations:  NO sport stars with numbers on jerseys, No dates in history,

 NO ages of relatives.

 

Seek input from teachers, friends, family. Use your research to guide your thinking.

 

Posters will be graded based on:

            Individual grade:

ž  Appropriateness of phrase

ž  Inclusion of symbol, atomic number, atomic mass

ž     Creativity

 

Group grade:

ž  Oral presentation
