• Set up individual appointment to talk with Mr. Kulwicki to discuss first ACT, career path, post high school training, financial aid options, and scholarships.
• Register to take the ACT on October 28 at St. Henry high school.  Regular registration deadline is September 22.  Late registration deadline is October 6.
• Secure applications for colleges.  Apply to three colleges (suggested).  If you apply to private schools, apply to at least one state university (suggested).  Applications can be picked up in the guidance office or you can order one online.

October - November

• Send first choice application before Thanksgiving.

December

• All applications and materials should be mailed from the guidance office before Christmas for students wanting to pursue education beyond high school.

September - March

• Make appointment for college visit or visit on special Visitation Day.  Use online resources.

• College visit form must be completed, signed by parent, signed by Mr. Kulwicki, and returned to the principal's office before you will be excused for a college visit.  Student is responsible for missed work.  Forms are available in the guidance office.

January

• Attend free FAFSA workshop on January 5, 2006 at St. Henry school.  File application for federal student aid (FAFSA) online as soon as possible after January 1st.

• Exhaust all financial aid possibilities.

February - March

• Figure cost of college based on SAR. (student aid report).

• Evaluate financial aid packages.

April

• Must respond to offer of acceptance before May 1.  Colleges requesting earlier decision, request extension in writing.  This does not apply to early decision candidates.

May - June

• Finalize plans with college of choice.

• File all forms necessary for student loans and other financial aid.

• Make sure housing deposits are sent on time.

• Schedule orientation sessions as necessary.

• Supply all forms as required by your college.
