OHIO HISTORY IS ALIVE!

Ohio History Is Alive is a TLCF project that is being created by students for students.  As a collaborative statewide project, students from participating schools will research and publish their own local history to this website.   Imagine! -- students across the state will be able to learn Ohio History from their peers!  

As the pilot school for the project, Fort Recovery Middle School selected the theme How We Made Our Mark:  Landmarks Of Our Community for the first year.  Additionally, the project was a cross-curricular venture.  Art, math, science, music, social studies, language arts, and physical education were all involved in researching the landmarks.  The project will branch out beginning the 1999-2000 school year, involving schools across the state contributing local history.

The vision of this project is to involve as many students as possible exploring the state history of Ohio - - learning and sharing with each other.
