The Wayne Trace Local School District Board of Education met in special session on Friday January 16, 2009 at 6:30 a.m. in the Wayne Trace High School Lecture Room. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Perry Sinn. Roll Call Mrs. McClure, Mr. Stoller, Mr. Hockenberry, Mr. Sinn, Mr. Baumle – All present 01-11-09 Upon a motion by Dale Stoller a resolution to go into executive session to discuss personnel issues. Seconded by Lisa McClure. Roll Call Vote: Stoller, McClure, Hockenberry, Sinn, Baumle – all aye Motion passed. Discussion on Current Energy‘s Proposal and consideration of any options. Following a short discussion the board, at the recommendation of the administration, decided to advise Current Energy that due to the high cost, long return and relative unknowns associated with their proposal they will not proceed at this time. New Business 01-12-09 A motion by Perry Sinn that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent and Athletic Director, to offer a one-year supplemental contract for the 2008-2009 school year to Kevin Wilson as the Head High School Baseball Coach Seconded by Lisa McClure Roll Call Vote: Sinn, McClure, Baumle – aye Stoller, Hockenberry - nay Motion Passed. 01-13-09 A motion by Dale Stoller that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent and Treasurer that the Board approve wages, in lieu of compensation under Ohio's workers' compensation program, for Alice Wenninger for a period of 90 calendar days or the duration of her disability, whichever is shorter; the reason for this recommendation is that wage maintenance for this employee during this period is more cost-effective to the District than would be her receipt of total temporary benefits; Seconded by Perry Sinn Roll Call Vote: Stoller, Sinn, McClure, Hockenberry, Baumle – aye Motion Passed.
