The Wayne Trace Local School District Board of Education met in special session on Monday March 30, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in the High School Conference Room.

Begin PI Plan discussions

Covered current year to date and proposals from various department heads.

Tracey Smith, State Board-Details from Governor’s plan for Ed reform

Tracey gave the board an update on the Governor’s plan and took input from the board regarding how this will affect small rural districts such as ours. She also covered the OEBM model with the board. She invited the superintendent and any board member interested to come to Columbus to testify before the senate regarding the bill and it’s impact.

Peg Schilb, Curriculum Coordinator, was introduced to the board and covered her philosophies and thoughts on curriculum, testing and going forward in the current environment.

BOE Goals and Objectives

Reviewed last year’s goals and how we did. Mr. Baumle took a few notes and will rework a couple and possibly add one to develop next years plans.

Evaluations

Discussed how they are done and if they were being effective and how they might be improved.
