The Wayne Trace
Local School District Board of Education met in Special session in the
Wayne Trace Jr. /Sr. High School Lecture Room at 6:30 a.m. on July 19,
2007.
Pledge

a. A resolution made by Pat Baumle to
accept the letter of resignation from Richard Miller as Industrial
Technology teacher at Wayne Trace High School effective at the end of
the current contract year.
Seconded by Dale Stoller.

Motion Passed
Any other new business.
A discussion ensued regarding filling
the position vs. eliminating the program as a cost saving measure.
After lengthy discussion the board was unanimous in their desire to
maintain the Industrial Arts Program as a positive for the long term
goals of the district. Being a rural community this program offers our
students the chance to improve on basic day-to-day skills needed in real
life and to sample possible fields for future employment without a major
commitment at a vocational school.
