Dr Seuss

During the months of January and February we read lots of Dr Seuss books!!!! 

After reading the books and passing the AR tests, we completed worksheets which Miss Sinn created.

Oobleck!!!

After reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr Seuss, we made oobleck!

As you can see, it caused many different reactions!!! :)

 

Another Motion Investigation

	We completed this activity in our study of motion.  Using a penny, an eraser, and block of wood, we timed their journey down the cookie sheet.  After raising the cookie sheet following the first two trips, we compared the times and drew conclusions.

 

Culture Group Study

	To learn more about our ancestors, we researched information about the culture groups which have settled in Paulding County.  Here we are creating posters to display our findings.

Measuring the Movement of 4 Objects

To use all of our "hot air"!! we tried to move a sheet of paper balled up, a marble, a pencil and a block of wood.  The block of wood usually doesn't move with one blow of air.  However the young man -----------------> was able to move it 3 inches!!!! :) After the blow, the team members measured the distance and recorded them on our data sheet.  Lastly we graphed our data to compare it.

 

Symmetrical or Not?!?!

	We used small mirrors to decide if capital letters were symmetrical.  We also placed the mirrors on our sheets to create pictures from those printed.
