Our Class

The guard takes the peasant to the dungeon.

4B students recently read a play entitled, "The King in the Kitchen" by Margaret E. Slattery.  We then acted out the play in reading class.

The king is getting ready to make his soup. The cook and the kitchen maids are trying to stop him.

The princess is looking at what the king made.  Later in the story they find out that it is glue.

The duke comes in and tastes what the king has made.  The duke can't talk because his mouth is stuck together.  The king is furious because the duke is not talking to him.

The duke bows to the princess.  The peasant is in the dungeon.  He is trying to impress the princess and the king.

The guard is protecting the princess so the peasant doesn't hurt her.

The king is telling the cook and the maids to go to cooking school.

The king says, "I'm trying to make a second batch of king's glue so we can earn more money for the Royal Treasury."

Holly and Lucio Flores brought in a pinata to celebrate Leigha's birthday.  Lucio explained how a pinata is used to celebrate children's birthdays in Mexico.

In reading class we practiced following directions by using a recipe for "Ants on a Log."

We spread peanut butter on celery pieces for the log.  Then we put ants (raisins) on it.  The mixture was delicious!
