Wayne Trace announcements for Thursday, November 19, 2009
Last Friday, the sophomores, juniors &
seniors took the Americanism test. The winners are as follows:
sophomores Reuben Stoller and Emily Molitor, juniors Josiah
Gordon and Taylor Baumle, and seniors Brock DeLong and Kelsey
Gerber. Brock and Kelsey had the highest scores in the school
and will each receive a $25.00 savings bond from the Payne
American Legion. All winners’ scores will now move on to the
district level to be compared with winners from other schools.
The legion would like to thank all that participated in the
test.
Wayne Trace is once again sponsoring the
“Christmas for Kids” program. Bring in new toys or a monetary
donation and help kids from our area who are less fortunate have
a great Christmas. Rick Small from radio station 98.1 will be
here Wednesday, December 2nd, to collect the toys
during a live broadcast from our school. Toys can be dropped off
in the library, and monetary donations can be given to Mrs.
Kathie Kipfer in the office.
Applications for the Van Wert Peony
Festival Queen are available in the high school office. This is
open to any senior girl. This is a great scholarship
opportunity. First place is a $1200 scholarship. If you are
interested, stop in the office and pick up an application.
Juniors: The concession sign-up sheets for
boys’ and girls’ basketball games are in Mrs. Sinn’s room. There
are several open spots that need to be filled – if we don’t have
enough people to work, we have to give up the games and we can’t
afford to do this, so please sign up!

Seniors
It is time to start bringing in your
pictures for the yearbook. We need a baby picture of each of you
and your choice of a senior picture if you want one other than
the Gibby’s portrait to appear in the yearbook. You have until
Friday, January 8th, to turn these in to Mrs. Gerber,
but please don’t wait until the last minute! |
