Raider boy golfers 2nd to Antwerp
The Wayne Trace boy golfers were second in a tri-match with Antwerp, which won, and Edgerton. Scores were Antwerp 145, Wayne Trace 156 and Edgerton 166. Archer Boston Hormann’s 34 earned him medalist honors, while teammates Bob Bragg (35) and Alex Wetli (36) were second and third. Raider Aaron Hockenberry was fourth with a 37. Team records are as follows: Antwerp is 9-0, while Wayne Trace is 2-1 and Edgerton 4-4.  Individual results are as follows:

Kalida Invitational 

The competition at the Kalida Invitational at Country Acres Golf Club was about as close as golf outings get. The Van Wert Cougars placed third at the 19 team, 18-hole tournament. Van Wert's 317 was two strokes better than Wauseon's 319 and only eight behind runner-up Lima Central Catholic's 309. Bryan won the event by one stroke over the Thunderbirds with a 308.

Other local teams competing in the tournament were Ottoville, sixth place with 329, Wayne Trace 11th - the Raiders actually tied with Tinora for 10th at the end of regulation, but dropped to 11th on the fifth-man tie break - with 336, Delphos St. John's, 13th with 341, and Delphos Jefferson, 17th with 362.

The tournament medalist was Delphos Jefferson's Dillon Klein, who shot a 65. Paul Vandeventer was runner-up with a 70 and LCC's John Goetz was third with a 74.

The Cougars were led by Tony Conn and his 76. Brooks Elder followed the Van Wert No. 1 with a 77 and DJ Dull shot a 79. Van Wert's fourth man Brock Thatcher shot an 87 and fifth man, Blake Doidge, registered an 85.

Ottoville's Alex Odenweller shot a 79 for The Big Green with Jordan Schinmoeller recording an 82. Troy Markward and Tim Kramer each shot an 84 while Chris Rieger shot an 89.

For Wayne Trace Aaron Hockenberry led all Raiders with a 79. Elliot Tempel added an 82 and Dane Treece an 85. Nick German and Andrew Horner rounded out the Raider scoring with a 90 and 111 respectively.

For the Blue Jays, Brad Wannemacher recorded a low score of 75 and Neil Buettner added an 87. Drew Fischer, Brandon Hemker and Kevin Kill rounded out the St. John's top five with 88, 91 and 106 respectively.

Joining Klein's round were Wildcats Austin Clarkson, 84, Dru Leach, 119, Chad Hoersten, 104, and Nick Moore, 109.
