The Wayne Trace 8th grade football team dedicated their
game against Hicksville to their classmate and friend Saxon
Fisher who passed away this past weekend. The Raiders
defeated Hicksville by a score of 60-6. The game ball was
presented to Brad and Cynthia Fisher in memory of Saxon.
The Raiders had a strong running attack led by Devin
Wenzlick who had 150 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Jake
Gerber rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown. Gerber also
threw a touchdown pass to Bailey Poling and three extra
point conversions to Colby Speice who ran for 30 yards and a
touchdown. Jared Sherry had 85 yards rushing and a
touchdown. Wes Going rushed for 70 yards. Aaron Miller
caught a touchdown pass. Tyler Showalter scored on a punt
return. The offensive line led the way behind Marcus McVay,
Brock Worden, Aaron Stoller, Arlen Stoller, Matt
Klopfenstein, Andrew Ludwig and Dustin Taylor.
The defense played an outstanding game. Brock
Worden, Marcus McVay, Aaron Stoller, Bailey Poling, Colby
Speice, Devin Wenzlick, Adam Stahlsberg and Jared Sherry had
tackles for a loss. Big plays in the secondary came from
Broc Forrer, Jake Gerber, and Aaron Miller. TJ Blackmore
recovered a fumble and Matt Klopfenstein recorded an
interception. The Wayne Trace 8th grade football played an
inspired game that they dedicated to Saxon Fisher. The
Raiders improve to 5-1 on the season.

Congratulations to the Wayne Trace 8th grade
football team as they defeated Edgerton by a score of 62-0
at Edgerton. Devin Wenzlick had three touchdowns and 100
yards rushing. Jared Sherry added two touchdowns and 80
yards rushing. Jake Gerber had one touchdown and three-two
point conversions along with 65 yards on the ground. Wes
Goings had a touchdown and 85 yards rushing. Aaron Miller
had a touchdown and 50 yards rushing. Tyler Showalter
finished the scoring with a touchdown. Baily Poling also
had two-two point conversions. Big offensive line blocks
were provided by Brock Worden, Marcus McVay, Arlen Stoller,
Matt Klopfenstein, Aaron Stoller, Dustin Taylor Chuckie
Chastain, and Justin Pierce.
The defense recorded a shutout led by Colby Speice, Jared
Sherry, Jake Gerber, Devin Wenzlick, Brock Wordon, TJ
Blackmore, Adam Stalsberg, Marcus McVay, Andrew
Ludwig, Bailey Poling, Aaron Miller, Wes Going, and Aaron Stoller.
The Raiders improve their record to 3-1.

Congratulations to the Wayne Trace 7th grade football
team as they defeated Tinora at Tinora by a score of 46-6.
Leading the way for the Raiders was Tyler Showalter and
Jacob Arend. Showalter had 185 yards rushing and 4
touchdowns. Arend had 150 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Corbin Linder had four two point conversions. Denver Burkey
had a reception from Jacob Dingus. Dingus also returned
three punts for 50 yards. Big blocks were provided by Kyler
Showalter, Hank Sinn, Justin Pierce, Isaac Ludwig, Darius
Hale, Cassidy Hilkey, and Grant Gillett.
The defense played well only giving up 6 points. Tyler
Showlater had 5 tackles for a loss. Other defenders were
Chuckie Chastain, Matt Baxter, Hank Sinn, Kyler Showalter,
Jacob Arend, Denver Burkey, Jacob Dingus, Justin Pierce,
Corbin Linder, Isaac Ludwig, Josh Reel, Bryan Garlock, and
Bryce Eutsler. The 7th grade teams moves to 3-0 for the
season.

at Fairview by a score of 52-0. Tyler Showalter led the
rushing attack with 135 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
Jacob Arend had 110 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Kyler
Showalter had 85 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Corbin
Linder and Denver Burkley each had 50 yards rushing and
Linder also scored a touchdown. Leading the way on the
offensive line was Hank Sinn, Justin Pierce, Darius Hale,
Jacob Dingus, Bryce Eutzler, Isaac Ludwig, Grant Gillett,
and Cassidy Hilkey.
The defense recorded another shut out led by JP Pierce,
Tyler and Kyler Showalter, Chuckie Chastain, Josh Reel,
Hank Sinn, Matt Baxter, Bryce Eutzler, Corbin Linder, JC
Weaver, Bryan Garlock, and Jacob Dingus with an
interception.

team as they defeated Ayersville, 36-6, at Ayersville. They move to
2-0 for the year. Wes Goings had 100 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Jared Sherry had 85 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Aaron Miller
had 75 yards rushing and a touchdown. Jake Gerber rushed for 45
yards and threw for another 75 yards. On the receiving end of
Gerber’s passes were Broc Forrer, Devin Wenzlick, and Jared Sherry.
Bailey Poling also hit Forrer for a touchdown. Big offensive line
blocks were provided by Aaron Stoller, Arlen Stoller, Matt
Klopfenstein, Marcus McVay, Brock Worden, TJ Blackmore, Dustin
Taylor, and Justin Pierce. The defense held a good Ayersville
offense to just six points. Jared Sherry caused and recovered a
fumble. Jake Gerber and Aaron Miller both recorded interceptions.
Other big defensive plays were by Marcus McVay, Aaron Stoller, TJ
Blackmore, Bailey Poling, Andrew Ludwig, Brock Worden, Devin
Wenzlick, Broc Forrer, Wes Goings, Adam Stalsberg, and Tyler

point conversion. Jacob Arend had two rushing
touchdowns and a two point conversion. Denver Burkley
scored a touchdown on a pass from Jacob Dingus. Kyler
Showalter had a rushing touchdown and six two point
conversions. Corbin Linder threw both touchdown passes
to Tyler Showalter. Big offensive line blocks were
provided by Darius Hale, Hank Sin, Robbie Seffernick,
Grant Gillett, Isaac Ludwig, and Justin Pierce.
The defense shut out Paulding. Leading the way on
defense was Tyler Showalter, Jacob Arend, Hank Sinn,
Justin Pierce, Bryce Eutzler, Kyler Showalter, Chuckie
Chastain, Isaac Ludwig, Josh Reel, Matt Baxter, Corbin
Linder, Denver Burkley, JC Weaver and Jacob Dingus.

Garlock. Jacob Dingus also had an interception.

Justin Pierce.

Congratulations to the Wayne
Trace 8th grade football team as they defeated Lima
Senior JH by a score of 34-6 at Lima Stadium on the
field turf to earn their first victory of the season.
Lima Senior JH is a combination of Lima South, Lima
North, and Lima West.
Wes Going led the ground attack
with 175 yards rushing and a touchdown. Aaron Miller
scored three touchdowns. Jake Gerber threw a touchdown
to Miller, a two point conversion to Colby Speice and
another two point conversion to Jared Sherry. Sherry
also had 55 yards rushing to go along with Speice's 45
yards rushing and a touchdown. Devin Wenzlick also hit
the century mark in rushing by picking up 105 yards on
the ground. The touchdowns were a result of Big
offensive blocks provided by Brock Worden, Marcus McVay,
Aaron Stoller, Logan Stahl, Matt Klopfenstein, and Arlen
Stoller.
The Defense played outstanding
football by limiting Lima Senior to two first downs and
six points. Brock Worden had two fumble recoveries. TJ Blackmore
and Devin Wenzlick also recovered fumbles. Tackles for
a loss came from Aaron Stoller, Marcus McVay, Jared
Sherry, Colby Speice, and Aaron Miller. Jake Gerber
combined with Wes Going to bat down 6 Lima Senior
passes. Other outstanding defensive plays came from
Andrew Ludwig, Adam Stalsberg, Tyler Showalter and Arlen
Stoller. Other defensive contributors were Corbin
Linder, Dustin Taylor, and Justin Pierce. The 8th grade
Raiders are 1-0 and will play Ayerville next.
