2006 YOUNG FARMER SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Recently, Michael Breese, Dustin Frey, and Ryan Miller, all members of the Lincolnview FFA, each received $300 scholarships from the Lincolnview Young Farmers. Each year the Young Farmers presents outstanding FFA members scholarships to FFA members to assist in their post secondary education. They raise the money by sponsoring the 3-point shot at home basketball games, a 50-50 drawing, and selling the advertising for the Farmer Appreciation Night (F.A.N.)

Michael Breese is the son of David and Carla Breese, of Venedocia, OH and is enrolled to attend The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH this fall. His major is agriculture. He has participated in Urban and Rural Soils career development events along with parliamentary procedure. He has assisted in Babyland, selling woodshavings and ham and fruit sales. He has also participated in baseball and basketball and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Dustin Frey is the son of Kent and Sabrina Frey of Scott, OH and is enrolled to attend Bowling Green State University majoring in elementary education. Dustin has participated in Urban Soil career development events along with parliamentary procedure. He has assisted in selling woodshavings along with ham and fruit sales. He also has helped with Babyland, blood drive and tornado debris pickup. He also participated in cross-country and track.

Ryan Miller is the son of John and Kim Miller of Van Wert and enrolled to attend Morrisville State College, Morrisville, NY. He plans to major in Equine Science and Management. He has participated in Equine Management career development events along with parliamentary procedure. He has assisted in fruit and ham sales along with woodshavings and babyland. He has participated in basketball, track and cross-country.
