Gifted Intervention Specialists are certified teachers who are responsible for providing individual and small group instruction and guidance for identified students in participating school districts.  This instruction includes higher level thinking skills, critical thinking and problem solving activities, research methods, oral and written expression, interpersonal relationships, career awareness, and awareness and appreciation of the visual and performing arts.

Tri-County Youth Art Show Students in Grades 7 – 12 from Paulding, Van Wert and Mercer Counties can display their best artwork at the Tri-County Youth Art Show. This adjudicated show is held in the spring of every other year at the Wassenberg Art Center in Van Wert, Ohio.  The next show will be spring of 2007.

Junior Scholars Juniors and Seniors for Paulding, Van Wert, Auglaize, and Mercer counties may attend Junior Scholars at Wright State University – Lake Campus near Celina, Ohio.  A Series of daylong sessions with a variety of presenters is held throughout the school year.  Dates for 2005-2006 are:
