PEERS is a professional development program designed by Western Buckeye ESC.  PEERS is a researched-based, job embedded program designed by teachers for teachers.  Teacher leaders facilitate Study Tables or Action Research Teams within each school building.  Study Tables include group study sessions and peer coaching observations.  Action Research Teams involve group study sessions and independent research.

 

Study Table Requirements:

Facilitator

 Recruit a team of 3 to 6 members

Submit a PEERS Proposal indicating team members, meeting dates and topics for discussion

bullet

 Plan and facilitate 9 hours of Study Table Meetings between September  and April

bullet

Schedule and Complete 3 Peer Observations

Submit Project Reports, PowerPoint & Evaluations  to PEERS Coordinator

Team Member

Actively participate in 9 hours of Study Table meetings between September and April

bullet

 Complete 3 Peer Observations per person

bullet

Complete & Submit required assignments

Optional Graduate Credit available from Ashland University

               

 

Ashland University Graduate Credit:

 

Individual Study Table and Action Research Team members have the option of purchasing Graduate Credit from Ashland University for their participation.  The requirements for credit are as follows:

PEERS Coordinator will provide specific requirements for each project

bullet

2007-2008 Tuition Rate is $259.00 per semester hour
